Ok, what about the install? Who has done an install on this, and how long did it take you? I heard it bolts up better than the drag.
IE. Can I do this myself in my garage, with what tools? (shop here quoted me 900 bucks for install/labor.....) WTF?! biggrin

    Thanks,
    Silver

The greddy kit has a internal wastegate, can a external wastegate be installed in place of the internal one?

My understanding from Woong (the ever knowledgable biggrin) yes you can but it involves welding a BOV to the piping. Of course he's a better one to go over details with smile

D'oh! You guys are mixed up. biggrin

Wastegate and blow-off valve completely seperate systems. Getting an external wastegate to work with the GReddy kit would take some work. First. You'd have to use a different turbo or remove the integral wastegate off the turbo. Then you'd have to use a different downpipe or a different turbine discharge flange that blocks off the hole for the integral wastegate. Last, and most difficult, you'd have to modify the manifold to accept an external wastegate.

Any reason you wanted to go from internal to external wastegate gsr355? The integral wastegate is plenty adequate and much less of a headache than the external ones IMO. That is the main attraction to the GReddy kit besides the Greddy quality. It adds to the install and forget-ness of the GReddy kit.
